The deep red sun rose over the forested world of Collas in a clear day that was shaping up to be a warm one. The cries of flying creatures filled the morning air as they woke and greeted the new day. Black and grey trees quivered in the morning wind as it rushed across the land. A small village near the edge of the great river began to stir. The local inhabitants began to move around and prepare for the new day. This day, however, was a special day. This was the day when the hunting party would go out for a week and bring back enough for the whole village to eat well for a whole three months.

Two beings stood side by side on the surface of a remote planet looking up into the stars. One of the beings had blue-white luminescence that filled it's gelatinous body while the other was black as night and much more solid shaped, even humanoid shaped. The dark one's eyes soon left the star strewn skies and looked at his "guest" with some disgust.
